RNG-Engineering completed another KDFT on a turnkey basis

Our subsidiary "RNG-Engineering" has handed over on a turnkey basis another KDFT at one of the facilities in the oil and gas sector of the Russian Federation.

End pipe phase separator (KDFT) is a type of equipment used in the oil and gas industry to separate oil from free water to an emulsion state with 0.5 -10% residual water cut. KDFT is used as part of oil treatment units as the first stage of dehydration, as well as for treating water to maintain reservoir pressure.

The principle of operation of the end pipe phase divider is based on the laws of hydrostatics and hydrodynamics, water, which has a higher density in relation to oil, is sent to the lower part of the apparatus and discharged into the water intake pipeline. Oil rises to the upper part of the apparatus, from where it is diverted for additional preparation.

To ensure the required quality of product preparation, coalescing devices are installed in the apparatus to enlarge the emulsifiable globules of residual oil products in water, which contributes to the intensification of mass transfer processes. The principle of operation of these internal devices is that the emulsion passes through a set of parallel plates, between which the process of emulsion separation proceeds faster by reducing the time of oil droplets to rise. Coagulator plates make up a set and are combined into a single structure that is easy to mount and dismantle.
