Oil&Gas equipment for companies in Uzbekistan: ROG-Engineering will take part in CCI France Russie business mission
February 18, 2019. Moscow — PJSC Evropeyskaya Elektrotekhnica (hereinafter – the "Company" or the "Group"), one of the leaders in the Russian engineering market, represented by its subsidiary ROG-Engineering, will take part in the CCI France Russie business mission in Uzbekistan.
Period: February 18–22, 2019.
The mission's extensive program includes a number of activities:
- meetings with representatives of a number of ministries and departments, the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
- meetings with the management of local Oil&Gas companies — Lukoil Uzbekistan Operating, Enter Engineering, Eriell Group, East-West Engineering;
- meeting the business community of the Navoi Free Industrial Economic Zone;
- visit to Navoi Mining and Metallurgy Combinat and meeting with management;
- meeting the business community and local authorities of Tashkent, Samarkand Region, Navoi;
- meeting the Russian Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan V. Tuyrdenev, meeting the Russian Trade Representative in Uzbekistan A. Kaverin.
General Director of ROG-Engineering LLC Habir Kilmuhametov commented on the upcoming business program of the mission: “Our Company already has real experience of cooperating with companies from Uzbekistan. Specifically, in 2018 we carried out the delivery of flare systems. In addition, last year we successfully passed a technical audit by a number of local customer companies: Lukoil Uzbekistan Operating, Enter Engineering, and Eriell Group.
For us as a supplier of equipment for the Oil&Gas and petrochemical industry, the market of this country is becoming more and more interesting, as the authorities in Uzbekistan are working systematically to increase the volume of oil and gas production. For example, the production is expected to commence soon at the fields in the Ustyurt Region, which are being developed by PJSC Gazprom and LUKOIL.”
Deputy General Director of CCI France Russsie Nicolas Ducret commented in this regard: “The format of the business missions has proved its efficiency in practice. We carried out our first business missions back in 2011. We are happy to welcome ROG-Engineering as one of the key participants of the upcoming visit to Uzbekistan.
The Republic of Uzbekistan was not a random choice for this business mission. Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the current president of the country, announced a new economic policy aimed at greatly improving the country's economy. By the end of 2018, contracts and agreements to a total of USD 14 billion had been signed with French, German, Indian and Arab partners. 2019 is declared as the Year of Active Investment and Social Investment in Uzbekistan. In February 2019, the OECD upgraded Uzbekistan's credit risk rating to group 5 (out of 7) in the country risk classifications. Uzbekistan has an impressive amount of natural resources. At the same time, the forward-thinking policy of the local authorities has allowed the country to largely preserve its industrial potential since the Soviet period.
Uzbekistan has credit ratings with all three international rating agencies: Moody's Investors Service (B1), S&P Global Ratings (BB-) and Fitch Ratings (BB-). In mid-February 2019, Uzbekistan successfully issued debut Eurobonds with a total volume of USD 1 billion. In the process of collecting applications, demand for Uzbekistan's securities exceeded USD 8.5 billion. These bonds were purchased by more than 150 debt investors from the United States, Great Britain, continental Europe, Asia, and the Middle East and North Africa region.
We expect all these factors to contribute to the positive outcome of the meetings planned as part of the business mission. Our ultimate goal is to stimulate new business and to discover existing business opportunities to the maximum possible extent.”
