Evropeyskaya Elektrotekhnica presented mobile plants for development of small and remote fields at the YAMAL OIL AND GAS 2018 forum
November 20–21, 2018. Novy Urengoy — PJSC Evropeyskaya Elektrotekhnica (hereinafter, the “Company”), a leading company in the Russian engineering market, took part in a major event within the gas industry — the YAMAL OIL AND GAS VI International Forum.
More than 200 industry leaders in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug and the Russian Arctic come together at this annual Forum. During the two-day business communication, participants vigorously discuss new business opportunities. This year, more than 15 investment projects of the industry companies were presented at the Forum.
PJSC Evropeyskaya Elektrotekhnica, represented by the core subsidiary ROG-Engineering LLC, supported the Forum by sponsoring the session titled "Oil&Gas: production in extreme Arctic conditions. Case studies, technologies, innovations.”
The organizers of the Forum ensured the presence of a high-quality and high-profile audience at the event, representing the target sector for ROG-Engineering. Management representatives from the following companies participated in the Forum: Achimgaz, Achim Development, Severneftegazprom, Rospan International, Sibneftegaz, NOVATEK, NOVATEK-Yurharovneftegaz, NOVATEK-Tarkosaleneftegaz, Gazpromneft-Razvitie, Terneftegaz, and TOTAL. The ROG-Engineering team successfully held discussions and conducted negotiations with these companies.
General Director of ROG-Engineering LLC Habir Kilmukhametov presented a report at the forum, which focused on the use of mobile plants for development of small and remote fields, as well as a report on the implementation of Early Oil projects. Mr. Kilmukhametov's speech attracted audience attention, due to the fact that construction of infrastructure for the development of remote and small fields requires spending a large amount of funds and time. Companies in this sector of industry make great efforts to find solutions to optimize this type of costs.
During the speech, Mr. Kilmukhametov answered a number of questions from the audience:
- What is the production capacity of the complexes offered by ROG-Engineering?
The production capacity of the units/modules produced and supplied by the Company is determined by the physical and chemical parameters of the reservoir fluid (oil, condensate, gas and water): gas-oil ratio and the required quality of the product processing at the outlet. For example:
- mobile well-test and development units produced by the Company provide for the unit capacity of the unit/module: flow rate of gas-liquid mixture at the inlet up to 500 m3/day at a gas-oil ratio of up to 2000 m3/t, at the design pressure of the first separation stage up to 6.3 MPa;
- mobile preliminary water knock-out units produced by the Company provide for a liquid output of 1500 m3/day, water cut of 10% to 99%, gas output of 150,000 nm3/day, water content of no more than 5% in the oil at the outlet;
- modular oil processing units provide for the following performance indicators: liquid output — 3000 m3/day, oil output — 2000 t/day, gas-oil ratio — no more than 1000 m3/t (however, this indicator can be increased to 2000 m3/t). The oil quality at the output is provided as per GOST R 51858-2002 “Oil. General Specifications” (with Amendments N 1, 2) of the quality product group according to the Customer's request.
- What is the time frame for mobilization/demobilization of such units at the field?
When using units with skids, mobilization/demobilization takes up from 2 to 5 days, depending on the setup of the unit. When using units with sledges, mobilization/demobilization takes up from 5 to 10 days, also depending on the unit setup.
- Does the application of these units require project documentation and obtaining approval from Glavgosexpertiza?
Mobile units developed and produced by the Company are not considered facilities of capital construction in accordance with Article 1, Paragraph 1 of the Town Planning Code of the Russian Federation and Federal Law No. 342-FZ “On Amendments to the Town Planning Code of the Russian Federation and Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation” of August 3, 2018 and, accordingly, it is not necessary for the project documentation to undergo mandatory approval from Glavgosexpertiza.
In accordance with Federal Law No. 116-FZ (ed. March 7, 2017) “On Industrial Safety of Hazardous Production Facilities” of July 21, 1997 (with amendments and additions effective as of March 25, 2017), the mobile units are classified as hazardous production facilities of hazard class III or IV. Modular oil processing units may be classified as hazardous production facilities of hazard class II, depending on their production capacity. Project documentation for hazardous production facilities must undergo expert examination of industrial safety.
- Is equipment and staff leasing possible?
Mobile units are available for leasing in the format convenient for the operator: equipment only or together with qualified operating and maintenance staff.
Chief Technologist of ROG-Engineering LLC Damir Yunusov also answered questions from potential customers during the forum. Based on feedback, the industry community has a high opinion of the level of expertize and understanding shown by the expert with regard to industry needs.
Habir Kilmuhametov, General Director of ROG-Engineering, noted the following outcomes of the forum: “In terms of informative feedback from participants, content of direct communication and discussion of equipment needs, this forum proved to be more engaging than the sector-specific exhibitions in which our Company also participates on a regular basis. During the exhibition we presented our offers at our own stand. Forum participants showed substantial interest, and extensive expert discussion of our offers took place depending on the nature of the interest — purchase and lease of equipment, in line with establishment of other forms of industry cooperation.”
