Evropeyskaya Elektrotekhnica's software for thermotechnical calculation included in the Russian Register of Programs for Electronic Computers and Databases
December 19, 2019 Moscow — On December 3, 2019, the ThermalConductivity software for heat loss calculation, which provides for thermotechnical calculation in electrical heating systems, was included in the Russian Register of Programs for Electronic Computers and Databases.
State Registration Certificate No. 2019665957 was issued by the Federal Service for Intellectual Property (Rospatent). The program's registered name is "Engineering Center Evropeyskaya Elektrotekhnica LLC. Heat Loss Calculations and Heating Cable Selection."
Certificate of registration issued by Rospatent for Evropeyskaya Elektrotekhnica's software
According to the information on the certificate, the software rights holder is Engineering Center Evropeyskaya Elektrotekhnica LLC. It is a key operating company in the structure of PJSC Evropeyskaya Elektrotekhnica (MOEX: EELT), one of the leaders in the Russian engineering market.
In October 2019, Evropeyskaya Elektrotekhnica provided its partners and customers with access to the specialized heat loss calculation program ThermalConductivity for the implementation of engineering projects at industrial and infrastructure facilities.
This software was originally developed as part of the project to create the EE-HITFLEX industrial electric heating system, an important element of our 2018 R&D program.
The ThermalConductivity program will serve engineers and engineering institutions
It helps to automate the process of thermotechnical calculation and quickly select a design solution by altering the following parameters:
- type and size of pipelines, tanks and CMD equipment,
- material and size of heated structures,
- type and thickness of thermal insulation,
- ambient temperature parameters: maximum and minimum,
- required temperature,
- special requirements (e.g. occurrence of aggressive substances).
The program provides for thermotechnical calculations:
- heat loss evaluation,
- assessment of current of one leg,
- recommended type of heating cable:
o self-regulating cable
o constant power cable (resistive cable)
- cable power,
- required total cable length,
- other process parameters.
The program generates two types of reports:
- a summary report for the entire range of cables of a particular electric heating system,
- separate (more detailed) reports for each calculated cable.
An example of a heat loss assessment report is one of the results of the ThermalConductivity heat loss calculation program.
Ilya Kalenkov, General Director of PJSC Evropeyskaya Elektrotekhnica, commented the following: "This software is part of our EE-HITFLEX industrial electric heating system, which allows our partners and customers to calculate heat losses and select a particular type of heating cable. The software is the result of our extensive experience of implementing projects of this kind.
We are sure that our partners — engineers and experts from engineering companies — will appreciate the possibility of quickly selecting the optimal technical characteristics and configurations for heating sections, as well as evaluating the parameters of electrical heating subsystems in case of changes to already developed projects.
The program has an intuitive design and a thought-out interface for easy and convenient thermotechnical calculations. When designing the interface, we kept in mind the experience of all key competitors. We are satisfied with the achieved combination of simplicity and functionality.
Further prospects for this software development solution include the automatic formation and delivery of detailed specifications of necessary equipment to heat a particular facility. We will make this functionality available to our partners and customers no later than in the second quarter of 2020.
We are interested in the opinions of the EE-HITFLEX industrial electric heating system users with regard to the functionality of the proposed solution and their wishes and requirements regarding further development of the system.”
