Platov Airport Project is Successfully Implemented by PJSC Evropeiskaya Elektrotechnica
Platov International Airport, which is part of Airports of Regions holding, conducted test hosting of an aircraft on November 18. The official opening ceremony of Rostov-on-Don's air harbor will take place on December 1. The airport area is 50,000 square meters, and it has a capacity of 1,740 passengers per hour. Thanks to its flight strip of 3.6 km, Platov is able to host aircrafts of all classes.
PJSC Evropeiskaya Elektrotechnica took part in the construction of this large-scale project. The company created electricity and power supply systems for the airport. Now, PJSC Evropeiskaya Elektrotechnica is completing works at the VIP-terminal with a total area of 2.88 thousand square meters. This terminal will be serving officials and delegations.
Ilya Kalenkov, General Director of PJSC Evropeiskaya Elektrotechnica, says: “Our company’s participation in the construction of the largest infrastructural facility of the Rostov Region began in 2014. This is the first Russian airport that was constructed from scratch for 23 years. We performed quality work in due time and applied modern technologies.”
To recap, PJSC Evropeiskaya Elektrotechnica already has experience of working with transport infrastructural facilities. In 2007–2012, the company renovated buildings of the Domodedovo, Sheremetyevo and Pulkovo airports. In 2013, the company participated in construction of Kazan Airport. Evropeiskaya Elektrotechnica has also renovated JSC RZhD Olympic and Moscow railway stations, as well as several ports.
